Lisa Arnoff is the legal counsel to Arnoff Moving and Storage; she graduated with distinction from The George Washington University with a degree in Secondary Education in 1984 and later attended and received her J.D. degree from Albany Law School, becoming a member of the New York State Bar in 1988. Upon graduation Lisa practiced law in Pleasant Valley, NY and then joined the family business to provide legal counsel. In 2013 Lisa inaugurated the Quality and Safety Team at the company. This committee is dedicated to ensure that the Arnoff Moving Companies exceed industry expectations for safety and quality through a multi-pronged approach that includes on-going education, analysis and Key Performance Indicators.
Lisa feels strongly about giving back to the community through social action activities. She has been very involved in the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation since 2004, serving as chairperson of the it’s annual Spring Brunch from that time as well as chairperson of its board of directors in 2016 and 2017. She has helped raise more than 1.5 million dollars for the foundation with the brunch fundraiser.
She has always been an avid gardener. In 2012 Lisa worked as a farmer’s apprentice at Poughkeepsie Farm Project and then founded her own “micro-farm” – Truckload Farm and Orchard – in 2013. There, Lisa raises a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers. The produce is primarily consumed by customers at Kitchen Sink Food & Drink and Meyer’s Olde Dutch the restaurants of Lisa and Mike’s son, Brian, in Beacon, NY. Some of the produce is donated to local charities and people in need.
