Meet February’s Expert in the Field, Scott White. Before joining Arnoff, Scott was a Licensed Practical Nurse working in the hospice/elder care industry. Looking for a career change, he saw an ad to go to driving school and obtain a Commercial Driver’s License, and took a chance in a new field.

You never know how you’re going to find your next career opportunity! Scott was working for another company making deliveries to a building we were developing that would be today’s Global Logistics Campus in Malta, NY. Knowing that we were hiring with our expansion, Scott came in for an interview and has been a member of our A-Team ever since.

Scott drives all over the country transporting sensitive cargo for our customers. He enjoys the challenge of driving in areas like New York City or Los Angeles, as maneuvering through these cities can be difficult with a 53ft trailer in tow. Out of the many places he has driven through, the beauty of Utah is certainly his favorite. Below is a photo he took at Utah’s Black Dragon canyon.

Aside from driving, Scott has also worked on the commercial moving and rigging side of our business. One of the most memorable jobs recalls was relocation of dorm rooms of a university in the Capital Region. These days were tough carrying everything up and down stairs and narrow hallways but said the team made the best of it and worked together to get the job done.

His advice to others is to expect some days to be challenging. But if you enjoy and care about what you do, at the end of the day it’s a rewarding experience. Scott takes pride in the work he does at Arnoff, and it shows. Here’s some comments from our customers on a job well done…
