This month’s edition of Experts in the Field covers someone who plays a key role when it comes to moving families.
Owen Harmon’s title is Driver’s Helper and Packer which means most days he is on a household move, helping to pack and load the truck to help a family through the transition to their new home. Although focus is on household moves and deliveries, the position of helper can be utilized in other areas like helping in the warehouse or final mile deliveries.
Owen joined the A-Team last year, making a pandemic career change from the culinary industry. His favorite part of the job is being out in the field, meeting customers and helping them move. And each day there is a new opportunity to do something different and stay active.
Although he may not have been with the company long, we receive reviews time and again from customers of exemplary service for Owen and the moving crew, like the ones below.
“The moving crew were great! Mike, Owen, and Steven were professional and worked well as a team to pick-up our furniture, etc. and deliver it safely.”
“In addition to stellar professionalism, the team was friendly, knowledgeable and made the entire day a breeze.”
“I can’t begin to tell you how very pleased we are with your company’s service. The crew was EXCEPTIONAL in every way – efficient, polite, careful and fast. William, Owen and Andre. – terrific.”
Our teams work through various weather conditions (when safe to do so) to help families move or make deliveries to customers. One of his most memorable moments was delivering a hot tub while it was snowing. Working through a narrow pathway through the snow, the team go the delivery done.
Coming from someone relatively new to the field, Owen has advice for others looking to begin in this position. It’s important to stay focused on what you’re working on and keep motivated.
Thank you to our team member Owen for outstanding service and showcasing expertise in the field.
